Pedro Tweed is known throughout the community and is presenting this virtual program, provided by the E.B. Crawford Public Library. Pedro, an institution in Sullivan County, is a coach, author, actor and inspirational speaker. He moved to Sullivan County in 1974 and worked as a poolside entertainer doing martial arts and gymnastics at The Brickman Hotel. As a result, he met and trained several film stars. He is the former Director of the Village of Monticello Parks and Recreation Department. He worked for the village for 23 years and continues to run his well-known Monticello Gymnastics Club training hundreds of athletes over some 40 years. Pedro has been featured in magazines and TV shows, including ‘Live With Regis and Kathie Lee’. He became an inspirational and assault prevention speaker and is a recipient of the Community Service Award from the NAACP for his continued years of community service. Tweed, is proud of his accomplishments and is now a published author. Tweed’s book, ‘Freeway (Finding Room Enough To Evaluate Who You Are)’ is about his take on life. In this virtual program Pedro will discuss exposing your emotions for the imposters that they are and his inspiration for putting his thought provoking words into a book written to encourage and uplift. Pedro continues to write and more published books are expected.
