Using the public computers

We have PC's dedicated to patron use with your library card or a guest pass. Once at the computer you will be prompted to put in your library card number found on the back of your card or the one-time use guest pass provided. Read through our user agreement. Once accepted you will see the familiar Windows desktop, with some limitations:

  • Files already stored on the computer are not accessible to the public.

  • You can not download or save anything to the computer. Computers may not be altered in any way. You can download and save your work to a personal flash/USB/pen drive.

    • We have flash drives for sale for $2.50 at the circulation desk.

  • Your session is limited to 60 minutes with the option to extend that time further if no one is waiting. Once your session ends the computer restarts. Nothing is saved.

  • You are limited to 1 session a day, no matter its length. You are not allowed to use a guest pass later in the afternoon to return to the computers.

  • Printing requires payment at the kiosk alongside the computers to allow it to be released. $0.15/page for black and white, $0.35/page for color. We can only print on 8.5 by 11-inch paper.

We do our best to keep the computers up to date. If you think something is needed please leave a note for our tech support. If you need please ask our staff for assistance.
