Join us, as we screen the film, Resilience The Biology of Stress and the Science of Hope. The film provides a deeper understanding of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE's) and dives into cutting-edge research on toxic stress. It also sheds light on the impacts that toxic stress has on brain development and depicts the correlation of everything from heart disease and cancer to substance abuse and depression.
We are also pleased to announce we will be hosting Arina, who holds a B.A. in Sociology and a Master’s Degree in Public Health to facilitate our post-film discussion. She also serves as a member of the Port Jervis Food Co-op Steering Committee; believing that access to nutritionally dense food will always be necessary and foremost.
A community conversation and light refreshments will follow.
