Roll Red Roll is a 1hr and 20-minute documentary that explores the harmful notions of masculinity and shines a light on “rape culture” that has allowed sexual assault to be normalized and dismissed. As it painstakingly reconstructs the night of the crime and its aftermath, Roll Red Roll also serves as a cautionary tale about what can happen when teenage social media bullying runs rampant and adults look the other way. The film unflinchingly asks: “Why didn’t anyone stop it?”
