Outdoor Stage Event with Nesin Cultural Arts
The NCA Choral Program is composed of students in and around Sullivan County Pre-K through Grade 12. The choral ensembles includes: Young Children’s Chorus (Pre-K - Grade 1) and the Treble Makers Chorus (Grades 2-5) directed by Emily McConnell; the NCA Chorale (Grades 6-12) and Honors Chorus (Ages 8-18) directed by Amy Phillips. Choirs are accompanied by Jeff Yeung. The Children’s Choirs will be singing songs celebrating spring and summer such as Mayday Carol and Summertime from Porgy & Bess; along with Journey to the Past as a farewell song for the programs high school senior and chorus assistant. The Handbell Choir (Grades 6-12) will give a short program directed by Amy Phillips and will be performing Te Deum by Charpentier 1688, arranged by Amy Phillips. Funding for NCA programs is provided by: the New York State Council on the Arts, Sullivan County Youth Bureau, Episcopal Charities, Laura Jane Musser Fund, Associated Chamber Music Players, Stewart’s Shops, M&T Bank, Classics for Kids Foundation, and New York Life.
