Elaine Freed Lindenblatt is the daughter of Reuben Freed, a Russian immigrant who turned his roadside stop into the celebrated Red Apple Rest. Elaine will give a presentation on her book Stop at the Red Apple that recounts her knowledge and memories of her father’s 50+ year restaurant. Located on NY Route 17, midway between metropolitan NY/NJ and the Catskill Mountain vacation mecca, the eatery annually served over one million customers. A Q&A portion will follow the presentation with books available for purchase and signing.
