Trustee Meeting Minutes - November 16, 2017

Approved December 21, 2017

The meeting was called to order at 5:14 by President Lynn Skolnick. Members present included Marcia Raponi, Marvin Rappaport, Steve Sharoff, Connie Keller and Christine Cavello.  Member absent was Sari Rosenheck.

At 5:15 a motion to go into executive session was made by Connie and Marcia seconded the motion.  Motion passed unanimously.

At 5:18 Marcia made a motion to come out of executive session and it was seconded by Connie.  Motion passed unanimously. There was a motion to approve the recommendation that was made in executive session regarding personnel.

Approval of Minutes

Lynn called for a motion to approve the minutes of October 19, 2017.  Marcia moved to accept the minutes as presented, Connie seconded the motion.  The motion passed unanimously. 

Correspondence

The Elks newsletter has our upcoming visit in it.

Public Comment

None

Voucher approval

Lynn motioned to approve the vouchers and Marcia seconded and it passed unanimously.

Bills to be paid

Marvin motioned to approve the bills and it was seconded by Christine.  It passed unanimously.

Committee Reports

Programming (see attached)

Suggestions were made for possible programming.  February—black history, March-women’s history.

Building and Grounds nothing new since last month.

Friends Liaison no November meeting.

Policy will meet soon.  Three different policies need to be done.

Director’s report (see attached)

Emails have been sent to landscaper by director and the library’s lawyer.

Approval of Transfer of Funds

Steve motioned to approve the change order for the solar parts and labor.  The motion was seconded by Marvin.  It passed unanimously.

Fundraising

Continue to sell pavers.

Motion to adjourn at 6:15 pm by Connie, seconded by Steve and passed.
